What happens when your favourite vanilla ice cream meets the ultimate desi mithai barfi? You shall get ice cream barfi! This cold and milk mithai is made from only a few ingredients, namely milk powder, ghee, sugar and vanilla essence. The recipe for this Indian dessert was shared by Parul Gupta on her YouTube channel ‘Cook With Parul.
Ice Cream Barfi Recipe: How To Make Ice Cream Barfi Home
Start by making a dough using milk powder and melted ghee. Prep the utensil in which the ice cream barfi shall be frozen, for that all you have to do is place a baking paper on a square container, grease it with ghee and sprinkle chopped pista and almonds.
Boil sugar, water and vanilla essence in a pan till it forms a thick and stringy sugar syrup. Remove it from flame and mix in the milk powder dough with the sugar syrup. This shall create a smooth paste. Transfer the smooth paste into the greased pan and let it stay in the fridge till it takes shape.
